Hello everybody. Well seasons end has came again, time goes so fast. We have had a busy summer, but a lot of work has been completed. The biggest project was lot 26, which is now complete.
Starting out with cleanup day, we had a good turnout, lots of good bar-bq, by JIMMY and ANN MUMMEY. The weather turned nice and the lake came alive with campers , boaters and fishermen.
This summer season has come and gone and now we are looking forward to the holidays. I am sure many of you have fond memories of summer fun at Lakeside and are looking forward to the next summer recreation season. As you are aware by now, the shower house, dump station, and water supply are closed and will re-open next spring when the weather warms up. The trash dumpster service has also been stopped until April 1st, 2015.
Hello Ya'll. Well the spring clean up went very good and the projects that were planned were completed. There was about fifty people for lunch. I want to thank JIM MUMMEY for the good bar-bq, 3 briskets, 2 pork shoulders, and a turkey breast. ANN MUMMEY made the baked beans and some other items, and MICHELLE RUEBKE made the potato salad. All was very good. CLAYTON JONES had the park mowed and looking great. GARY GRABER had a crew on lot five and they installed a retaining wall to keep the sand from filling the channel between the big pond and the small pond. I also want to thank JOHNNY VAGTS for getting dirt loaded for this project and a big thanks to a pretty dump truck driver, MEGAN MUMMEY. I think she hauled 10- 15 loads of dirt to complete lot 5.
Well here we are in late July and we have had a very good season so far. As most of you know, ANN was diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery. She is recovering very well but has limited our time at the lake. Ann and I want to thank the DIRECTORS and OFFICERS for (holding down the fort). I also want to thank CLAYTON JONES for keeping the grass and grounds looking great, also I want to thank CHRIS and MICHELLE RUEBKE for looking after the shower house. I understand JOHNNY VAGTS has been busy moving dirt and sand helping members to update their lots.
Sorry for the late newsletter, however we will be getting a spring newsletter around the first part of April. We want to thank everybody for a fun and safe camping and boating season in 2013. Now we can look forward to a new season of 2014 for hopefully a good weather, lots of rain, no tornados and for a good summer camping and boating season.
